John H. Babcock Of Rosefield Buried On Last Monday

Was Father of Three Residents of Winn Parish

Funeral services for John Henry Babcock, father of Charles Babcock, Mrs.
Estelle Gorham, and Ms. Houston Jordan of Winn Parish, who drowned in Bayou
Dan sometime between Saturday morning and Monday morning were held Monday
afternoon at Rosefield, and interment was in the Rosefield Cemetery.

Mr. Babcock was 72 years of age.

Besides Mr. Babcock, Mrs. Gorham, and Mrs. Jordan, the deceased is survived by
two sons, Henry Babcock of Enterprise and Ellis Babcock of Olla; two
daughters, Mrs. Kittie Cole of Rosefield and Mrs. Margaret Coon of Jonesville;
four brothers, Jim Babcock of Enterprise, Steve and Ben Babcock of Urania, and
Joe Babcock of Rosefield; and two sisters, Mrs. Wilks of Richland Parish and
Mrs. Rachel Kuble of Monroe; 24 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
