Last Rites Held For Steve Babcock Sunday Afternoon

Steve Babcock, 66, well known employee of the commissary of the Urania Lumber
Company died Saturday, June 8, in the Urania Clinic, following a heart attack.
He had been in failing health for some time.

Funeral services were conducted at the Log Cabin Episcopal Church in Urania of
which the deceased was a member, on Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. Hodges
Alves officiating.  Interment was in the Harris Cemetery with the Urania 
Masonic Lodge in charge of the services.  The large and beautiful floral 
offerings and the hundreds of people who attended the funeral attested to the
esteem in which the deceased was held.

Mr. Babcock was the brother in law of Mrs. E. L. McGuffey of Winnfield.  He
leaves his wife, one sister, and one brother.
