J. T. Bain, 41, brother of Marvin Bain of Winnfield. Sgt. Bain died at Lackland Army Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, Friday morning after a long illness. Sgt. Bain, who had been stationed at Sherman, Texas, prior to his admission to the hospital was a native of Ida, and had been in the Air Force since 1936. He was a veteran of extensive service during World War II. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Hinton Bain of Farmerville; two sons, J. T. Bain, Jr., and Mack Bain, both of Farmerville; his mother, Mrs. W. E. Bain of Hosston; three brothers, Laurice Bain of Shreveport, Houston Bain of Vivian, and Marvin Bain of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. Charles McCumsey of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Clark Loyd of Hosston; and a number of nieces and nephews.
