Death Claims Mrs. C. Bailey Here Wednesday

Funeral Services Were Conducted at Sardis Thursday

Funeral services for Mrs. Chris Bailey of St. Maurice, who died in Winnfield
Wednesday, were held from the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Dawson,
Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, with Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the
Presbyterian Church, officiating.  Interment was in the Sardis Cemetery under
the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Death claimed Mrs. Bailey a day after the death of her newborn son, who died
an hour after birth Monday night.  Mrs. Bailey was before her marriage Miss
Maria Dawson.  She was born and reared in the Zion Community near Winnfield.

Surviving are her husband and three children, Maggie Dean, Christine, and
George Weldon; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Dawson, and two sisters, Mrs.
Idell McConathy of Winnfield and Mrs. Velma Maxwell of Georgetown.
