H. C. Barnes, Native of Gansville, Dies In Jonesboro

Funeral services for Henry Coleman Barnes, 86, of Jonesboro, who died in a
Jonesboro hospital Monday, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Jonesboro
Baptist Church under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.  Burial was in a
Jonesboro Cemetery.

A native of Gansville, Mr. Barnes had resided in Jonesboro for the past 32
years.

Surviving are five sons: A. M. Barnes of Winnfield; C. O. And G. C. of
Shreveport; A. E. Of Springhill, and John Henry of Jonesboro; two daughters,
Mrs. Irene Bruner of Tyler, Texas, and Mrs. Guy Newton of Jonesboro; 19
grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
