L. Smith Dies in Jonesboro Buried There Tuesday Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Gentry Barnes of Jonesboro, who died at 5 o'clock Tuesday, were held Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. A. N. Murray officiated. Burial was in Jonesboro Cemetery. Mrs. Barnes, who was 82 years old, was the grandmother of Mrs. A. L. Smith of Winnfield. She was born in Alabama and came to Louisiana in girlhood. She was married to Wesley W. Barnes on December 22, 1864. Mr. Barnes died in 1923. Mrs. Barnes was a devoted member of the Baptist Church for 56 years. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. W. T. Jolly, Dodson, Route 3; Henry C. Barnes, Jonesboro, Charlie Barnes, Barry, Texas, J. M. and C. A. Barnes of Corsicana, Texas, and several grandchildren.
