Funeral Services Held For R. A. Barnes Friday

Died at his home in Winnfield on last Thursday morning, our esteemed friend
and brother, R. A. Barnes, aged 50 years.  His remains were laid to rest in
the family cemetery near Montgomery, La., Friday at 3:00 p.m.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. T. V. Taylor, of Winnfield.

The deceased leaves a wife and five children, two sons and three daugthers:
Dewitt Barnes of New Mexico and Hilton Barnes of Winnfield; Mrs. Louis Emmons
and Mrs. Linnie Fitzgerald of Monroe, and Miss Hattie Barnes of Winnfield.

A number of brothers and other relatives also survive.
