Rev. E. B. Barton

Services for Rev. E. B. Barton, 65, of Winnfield, were held at 10 a.m.
Saturday in Sardis Baptist Church in Winnfield with Rev. Danny Keyes and Dr.
Calvin Phelps officiating.

Burial was in Brown Cemetery in Atlanta, La., under the direction of Southern
Funeral Home in Winnfield.

The Rev. Barton died Thursday, May 8, 1980 in Winnfield General Hospital after
a long illness.

He was a member and pastor of Zion Hill Baptist Church, served as minister for
30 years in Winn Pairsh churches, was a retired school bus driver, and was a
member of Eastern Star Masonic Lodge No. 151, Winnfield.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby Barton of Winnfield; a son, Billy Barton
of Winnfield; two daughters, Mrs. Beth Collier of Winnfield and Mrs. Martha
Wagner of Baton Rouge; four sisters, Mrs. Irene Hughes, Mrs. Ophelia  Simmons,
and Mrs. Johnnie Ray, all of Shreveport, and Mrs. Ella Mae Russ of Winnfield;
and five grandchildren.
