Funeral Services For B. F. Barton Held at Sardis


B. F. Barton, 79 years of age, died at his residence here Wednesday, August 15
at 7 p. m.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. D. Sherwood at the Sardis Baptist
Church, of which Mr. Barton was a member, at 4 p. m. Thursday, August 16.  Mr.
Barton is a native of Louisiana and was born on October 27, 1855.

Surviving him are his widow and two sons and four daughters as follows:  C. B.
Barton and E. B. Barton, Winnfield; Mrs. J. S. Collins, Mrs. W. P. Collins,
and Mrs. George Ray, Winnfield; and Mrs. George Tidwell, Atlanta.  He is
preceded in death by a son, George Barton.
