Veda H. Barnes

Services for Veda Higgs Barnes, 76, of Winnfield, were held at 4 p.m. Thursday
in the chapel of Southern with the Rev. W. F. Fussell officiating.  Burial was
in Garden of Memories.

She died at 3 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 1980 in Jonesboro-Jackson Parish
Nursing Home.

Survivors include her husband, T. H. Barnes of Winnfield; two daughters, Mrs.
M. J. Kelley and Mrs. Sam Watson of Winnfield; five brothers, Enos Higgs and
Jody Higgs of Winnfield, Ellis Higgs and Houston Higgs, both of Dodson, and
Wallace Higgs of Shreveport; one sister, Henrietta Coonce of Dodson; and five
grandchildren.
