Bass Dies Suddenly Here Saturday Funeral Services are Held Sunday at Presbyterian Church Funeral services for Mrs. M. C. Bass, 63, who was found dead in bed at 6 a.m. Saturday at her home near here, were held from the First Presbyterian Church at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor, conducted the ceremony, assisted by Dr. B. C. Land, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Interment was made in the local cemetery. Pallbearers were J. M. Hyde, P. K. Abel, W. E. Heard, J. T. Terrill, Earnest Evans, and Judge Cas Moss. The deceased was the widow of the late M. C. Bass, who was a Presbyterian minister. Surviving are three sons and two daughters. They are B. O., Willie, Elvin, and Vera Bass, all of Winnfield, and Mrs. D. A. Gilbert of Bastrop. Out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral sere Mr. and Mrs. A. E.
