Mrs. C. Bates, 72, Dies; Funeral At Bethlehem

Mrs. Clinton L. Bates, 72, of Calvin died Friday, December 11, 1970 in the
Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston following a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Bethlehem Baptist
Church with the Rev. Wilmer Jordan officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ernie
Yocum.  Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern
Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Buddy Bates of Winnfield; a daughter,
Mrs. Bernice Weeks of Winnfield; a sister, Mrs. L. L. Burnum of Winnfield;
seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
