Mrs. Anna Mae Bates

Services for Mrs. Anna Mae Bates, 75, of Dodson, were held at 11 a.m.
Wednesday in Hurricane Creek Baptist Church in Dodson with the Rev. Willie
James officiating.

Burial was in Antioch Cemetery in Goldonna under direction of Southern Funeral
Home of Winnfield.

Mrs. Bates died Tuesday, September 30, 1980 in the local hospital after a long
illness.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist.

Survivors include one son, Prentiss Davis of Zenoria; a stepdaughter, Mrs.
Dorothy Higgs of Dodson; three brothers, Elmer West of Florence, South
Carolina, Arthur West of Monroe, and James West of Lake Charles; and one
grandchild.
