Funeral Rites For Mrs. Evie Bates Held

Mrs. Evie Mae Bates, 67, died at ____ a.m. Monday, January 30, 1967 in a
Winnfield hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at ____ Tuesday with Revs. D. W. ______aniel, W. R.
Gage, and Wil_____Jordan officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery under
direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Mrs. Bates was a native of Calvin and a member of Bethlehem church.  Survivors
include a son, G. C. Bates, Jr., of Winnfield, and a grandson.

Two brothers, Dan Carter and G. B. Carter of Winnfield, two sisters, Mrs.
Georgia Bates of Winnfield and Mrs. W. R. Peterson of Route 1, Goldonna.

Pallbearers were D. M. Carter, D. L. Carter, Bud Carter, Charles Lee Bates,
Earl Bates, Jr., and J. D. Canerday.
