Dale Bates

Dale Bates, 69, of Dodson, died Saturday, April 12, 1980 in Winnfield General
Hospital after a long illness.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae Bates of Dodson; two daughters, Mrs.
Rayford Higgs and Marion Ruth, both of Dodson; one sister, Bobbie Ponds of
California; and eight grandchildren.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Hurricane Creek Baptist Church near
Winnfield with the Rev. Willie James officiating.  Burial was in Antioch
Cemetery under direction of Southern, Winnfield.

Dale Bates

Dale Bates, 69, of Dodson, died April 12, after a short illness in the
Winnfield General Hospital.

He was a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Mae Bates of Dodson, and two daughters,
Dorothy Higgs of Dodson and Marion Ruth of Tucson, Arizona; one stepson,
Prentiss Davis of Trout; one sister, Barbara Ponds of California, and nine
grandchildren.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Hurricane Creek Baptist Church near
Winnfield with the Rev. Willie James officiating.  Burial was in Antioch
Cemetey under direction of Southern, Winnfield.
