Brother of Local Residents Dies; Rites Held Monday

Clyde Odell Baxley, 57, of Pollock died at 9:50 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 1968
in an Alexandria hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Essie Lee Baxley of Pollock; three sons,
Wilton Baxley of Bentley, Wilbur Baxley of Houston, Texas, and Willard Baxley
of Groves, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Francis Lasyone of Pineville; two
brothers, Carl Baxley of Colfax and Earl Baxley of Winnfield; one sister, Mrs.
Arthur McMurry of Winnfield; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. in the Big Creek Baptist Church near
Pollock with Rev. Sharbano officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery. 
Hixson Brothers Funeral Home was in charge.
