Beavers of Sikes Dies Mon., April 8 Funeral Services Tuesday With Interment in Sikes Cemetery Funeral services were held for Hanford E. Beavers at Sikes on Tuesday afternoon, after an illness of several months. He died in the home of his wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Hinton, Monday afternoon at 4 p.m. Mr. Beavers was a prominent young farmer of Sikes Community taking part in all civic movements for the betterment of the community. Rev. L. D. Emmons conducted the funeral services. Pallbearers were brothers in law of the deceased, Amos Black, Irvin Thigpen, Norman Hinton, Ross Hinton, B. T. Ellzey, and Gene Lafayette. Mr. Beavers is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Floy Hinton, his mother, Mrs. T. V. Beavers, and the following sisters and brothers: Miss Lyda Beavers, Baton Rouge; Mrs. B. F. Ellzey, Shreveport, Mrs. Gene Lafayette, Miss Quinnie Beavers, Orland, Laverle, and Demiese Beavers, all of West Monroe. Mr. Beavers was twenty-six years, four months, and ten days of age. Interment was in the Sikes Cemetery under the direction of Edmond's Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
