All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: October 26, 1961 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Hyman Beavers of Monroe Succumbs Funeral services for Hyman Beavers, 42, of Monroe, formerly of Sikes, were held at Pine Grove Baptist Church October 21. He succumbed after about the fourth heart attack. He had been a patient at St. Francis Hospital for nearly three months. Mr. Beavers was a dairyman at the time of his death. He was a former x-ray technician for a Monroe physician, and was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church. Burial was in the New Light Cemetery. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Velda Hatten Beavers; three sons, Charles, Roger, and Donald Beavers; one daughters, Miss Donnie Beavers, all of Monroe; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Beavers of Sikes; two brothers, Billie of Monroe and Howard of the U. S. Air Force; one sister, Mrs. Dean Dunn of Alexandria; one grandson. Officiating at the funeral were Rev. Robert Peek, pastor of the Pine Grove Church, and Rev. E. L. Tanner of Monroe. Pallbearers were Hebery Moore, Jack Oglesbee, Clifton Loyd, Neal Long, Clifton Strickland, and Frank Swayze.
