Jack Beckley Dies After Long Illness

Funeral servivces for Jack Beckley, 67, of Winnfield, were held at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday at Southern Funeral Home Chapel here with the Revs. Robert Gage and
Charles Haley officiating.

Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Montgomery.

Mr. Beckley died Sunday, September 4, 1977 in a local hospital after a lengthy
illness.

A native of Columbia, Mr. Beckley was a veteran of World War II and a member
of the local V. F. W.

Survivors include his widow, Polly Fowler Beckley of Winnfield; two sisters,
Mrs. Tom Cooper of Monroe and Mrs. Lloyd Cassels of Columbia; one brother,
William M. Beckley of Columbia and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Mike Smith, Perry Joe Smith, Luther Keaton, James Vines, John
Herd, and Hershal Long.
