Bell Dies After Illness Of Long Duration Mrs. A. Bell, 75, resident of Atlanta and Winnfield for most of her lifetime, died in a Winnfield hospital September 9, after an illness of two years duration. She was a native of Avoyelles Parish, a member of the First Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Eastern Star. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, September 10, at Southern Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. R. H. Staples and Dr. W. L. Holcomb officiating. Burial was in Union Grove Cemetery near Montgomery. Acting as pallbearers were Gordon Dickerson, James A. Dickerson, Billy Palmer, J. E. Williams, Jr., W. B. Willis, and Boyd Helm. Mrs. Bell is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Dickerson, Winnfield, and Mrs. Roline Sullivan, Ferriday; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. J. Bell, Alexandria, and Mrs. E. P. Lalande, Moreauville; two brothers, A. K. Joffrion, Moreauville, and Felix Joffrion, Laurel, Miss.
