S. Bell Tuesday, May 18 Funeral Services Were Conducted At Walnut Creek Wednesday Mrs. W. S. Bell, aged 77 years, of Winnfield, died in the Baptist Hospital, Alexandria, Tuesday afternoon, May 18, at 3 o'clock. She had been in failing health for a number of years. Following the death of her husband in Simsboro eight years ago, she had made her home in Winnfield with her daughter, Mrs. G. A. Payne. A native of Fort Deposi, Alabama, Mrs. Bell came to Louisiana in her early childhood. She resided in the Walnut Creek Community near Simsboro and had been a member of the Walnut Creek Baptist Church for about 60 years. The funeral procession left the home of Mrs. Payne here Wednesday at 1:30 and went to Simsboro, La., where services were conducted by the Rev. McCann, pastor of the Walnut Creek Church. Interment was in the Walnut Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were R. Y. Bell, Lee Tinsley, Bill Shelby, Leo Madden, Frank Bell, and J. T. Henry, all of Simsboro. Mrs. Bell is survived by two daughters, Mrs. G. A. Payne of Winnfield and Mrs. J. L. Payne of Urania; one son, Dr. J. E. Bell of Liberty, Texas; two brothers, J. E. Robinson, Pollock, and W. P. Robinson, California.
