J. Bell Dies at Shreveport Mrs. Henrietta Bell, 72, cousin of the late Senator Huey P. Long, died at her home Wednesday morning at 9:05 o'clock after an illness of three years. Mrs. Bell had been blind for the last two years. She had been a resident of Shreveport for 12 years. Funeral services were held on Thursday morning at 9 o'clock from the family residence with the Rev. M. B. Crawford, pastor of the Church of God, of which the deceased was a member, officiating. Interment was in the cemetery at Montgomery, La. Surviving Mrs. Bell are three sons, James J. Bell of Atlanta, La., R. E. Bell of Ashland, Ore.; A. W. Bell of Greenville, Cal.; two daughters, Mrs. Fred Howell and Mrs. Hazel Henderson, both of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. C. E. Meeker and Mrs. Bell Burnecke, both of Shreveport, and Mrs. Mollie Roshton, Montogmery, La.; two brothers, J. J. Simmons of Shreveport and Albert Simmons of Homestead, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
