Mrs. Mary Bemont Funeral Held Monday, April 14

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Snelling Bemont, 74, were held Monday, April
14, at 3 p.m. following her death at her home Sunday, April 13, at 3 p.m.

She was ill for a short time.  Services were conducted in the Laurel Heights
Assembly of God Church with Rev. C. M. Robinson, Rev. H. J. Mott, Rev. W. C.
Elmore, and Rev. R. J. Sjolander officiating.  Burial was in Pine Ridge
Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Henry Hodge, Dan Young, Elroy Moore, Dan Doherty, and
Roy Zimmerman, all of Winnfield and Edwin Bradley of Kirbyville, Texas. 
Honorary pallbearers were Ed Ray, Paul Goins, Walter Goins, J. W. Reeves,
Elbert Foshee, and Charlie Anderson, all of Winnfield.

Wife of the late George W. Bemont, who preceded her in death 13 years ago, she
is survived by six children, Kate, T. J., George, and Jim, all of Winnfield,
Mrs. Lee Owen of Shreveport and L. B. of Houston; nine grandchildren, two
great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
