R. Berry Succumbs; Buried At New Hope Mrs. W. R. Berry, 63, died at her home on Lafayette Street, Winnfield, Sunday, Oct. 20, after an illness of some length. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the New Hope Methodist Church with the Rev. Virgil Taylor officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Acting pallbearers were R. D. Skains, Jr., Lee Otice Berry, Lamar Berry, Benny Mooney, Cecil Taylor, and Cliff Whitehead. A native of Winnfield, the deceased was the former Rosella Wilson. She was a member of the Methodist faith. Surviving are her husband, W. R. Berry; two daughters, Mrs. Bowman Wright, Winnfield, and Mrs. R. D. Sprouse of Chillicothe, Ohio; three sons, M. J. Berry, Winnfield; O. H. of Shreveport; and H. E. of DeRidder; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. J. M. Blackburn of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. L. D. Skains, Winnfield.
