Obituaries: J. Cecil Berry, Sr.

Services for J. Cecil Berry Sr. were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of
Southern with Dr. Calvin Phelps officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories.

Berry, 94, of Baton Rouge died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 25, 1986 in a
Baton Rouge care center.

Survivors include one son, J. C. Berry Jr. of Baton Rouge; two daughters,
Madge Webb of Dallas Texas, and Nell Swarts of Warren, Mich.; two brothers,
Marvin Berry of Winnfield and Chum Berry of Pineville; two sisters, Eunice
Hughnes of Winnfield and Arie Mooney of Arkansas; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-
grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
