Berry Is Buried At New Hope January 8 William R. Berry, 75-year-old Winn Parish native, died at 4:10 p.m. Monday in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery. Officiating at the last rites were Rev. W. R. Gage, Rev. W. F Harrell, Rev. C. C. Martin and Rev. Rousseaux. Mr. Berry was a retired railroad employee and a member of the Methodist Church. He leaves three sons, M. J. and O. H. Berry of Winnfield and H. E. Berry of DeRidder; two daughters, Mrs. Bowman Wright of Winnfield and Mrs. Ray Sprouse of Chillicatche, Ohio; five brothers, Cecil, Marvin, Clyde and Guy Berry of Winnfield and A. A. Berry of Pineville; two sisters, Mrs. Joe Hughen of Winnfield and Mrs. Hooper Mooney of Dodson; 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
