Bethea Succumbs in Baton Rouge Wednesday Friends of the R. W. Bethea family were advised of the death of Mrs. R. W. Bethea in Baton Rouge, Wednesday, March 8, at ___ p.m. with burial in the Roselawn Cemetery, Baton Rouge. Mrs. Bethea will be remembered by a host of friends in this section. For many years she operated a ladies ready to wear establishment and her husband, R. W. Bethea, was also engaged in business in Winnfield for many years and later visited here while he was connected with the Case Cutlery manufacturers. Mrs. Bethea was an active member of the Winnfield Methodist Church and she and her family were prominent in civic affairs when they resided here. They moved to Baton Rouge about nine years ago. Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Janet Bethea of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Nadine Talley of Hobbs, N. M.; three sons, Cyr__ Bethea of Baton Rouge and Weldon and Wayne Bethea who are in service. Mrs. Bethea is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Will Goff of Houston, Texas; and another sister and a brother, Mr. Martin also of Texas.
