All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: June 5, 1947 Winn Parish Enterprise Funeral Thursday For James Beville, World War I Vet Funeral services for James Riley Beville, 52, who died here yesterday afternoon, were held at the family residence in Winnfield at 4 o'clock this afternoon (Thursday) with the Rev. Alwin Stokes and Rev. H. H. McBride officiating. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mr. Beville was born at St. Maurice, La., on May 4, 1895 and has spent most of his life in Winn Parish. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Maude Beville of Winnfield; four brothers, R. D. Beville, Jr., of Winnfield; J. S. Beville and Joe P. Beville of Kilgore, Texas; and Ben K. Beville of Refugio, Texas; two sisters, Miss May Beville of Winnfield and Mrs. Phil Lohman of New York City. Pallbearers were Bryant Sholars, Harry Fuller, E. E. Prince, H. A. Porter, Lee J. Grigsby, and Arnold Sikes. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home.
