Bice of Calvin Claimed by Death Wednesday Funeral Services Held Thursday Afternoon At Couley Following an illness of many months Mrs. John T. Bice of Calvin was claimed by death at 7:40 Wednesday morning of this week. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock conducted by Rev. F. M. Shows of Calvin and Rev. Alwin Stokes of Winnfield at the Couley Methodist Church with interment in the Couley Cemetery. Mrs. Bice was a member of the Baptist Church and Palestine Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. She was born near Winnfield in 1867. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. J. E. Rickard, Couley, Mrs. J. T. McLemore, Wheeling, Miss Annie Lee Bice, Calvin; three sons, Buford Bice, Kansas City, Mo., Arland Bice, Pawhuska, Okla., and Garland Bice, Calvin; three sisters, Mrs. Lim C. Everett, Couley, Mrs. H. Nix, Clarence, Mrs. M. Little, Durham, N. C.; three brothers, Emmett Britt, Natchitoches, Ira Britt, Clarence, and Sidney Britt, Montgomery.
