C. E. Billings Dies; Burial At Atlanta

Claude E. Billings, 72, of Trout, died Friday, February 28, 1975 in a Urania
hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday inh the Searcy Baptist Church with
the Rev. Mickey Bounds officiating. Burial was in the Atlanta Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hattie Barton Billings of Trout; four sons,
the Rev. Max Billings and Jimmy R. Billings, both of Trout, Lt. Comm. Bennie
Billings of New Orleans and Bruce D. Billings of De Ridder; four daughters,
Mrs. Helen Dean of Trout, Mrs. Judith Jenelle Russell of Alexandria, Mrs.
Brenda Ford of Midway, and Mrs. Donna Sue McKinzy of Silsbee, Texas; three
brothers, Clem Billings of Baytown, Texas, Carl Billings of Baytown, Texas,
Carl Billings of Kilgore, Texas, and Ivy Billings of Glenmora; three sisters,
Mrs. Annie Mae Sherwood, Mrs. Minnie Lee Miller, and Miss Evelyn Billings; his
stepmother, Mrs. B. F. Billings, all of Winnfield; 28 grandchildren, and five
great grandchildren.
