C. Billings, 59, Is Buried Sept. 13th At Atlanta Leslie Courtney Billings, 59, a retired oil field worker, died Sunday, September 11, 1966 in a Winnfield hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Atlanta. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Atlanta Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Ray Teal, and Rev. Ben Billings of Lake Charles and Rev. Max Allen Billings of Iowa, La., officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lady Lee Billings, Atlanta; two sons, Earl Billings of Houston, Texas and Don Billings of Orange, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. H. N. Quast of Orange; four brothers, Clem Billings of Baytown, Texas, Claude Billings of Kilgore, Texas, (only two listed); three sisters, Mrs. Roy Miller of New Iberia, Mrs. C. E. Sherwood and Miss Evelyn Billings of Winnfield; and ten grandchildren. No. 2 L. C. Billings, 59, Succumbs Sept. 11; Burial at Atlanta Leslie Courtney Billings, 59, died Sunday, September 11, 1966, at 7 p.m. in a local hospital. He was a retired oil refinery worker and native of Atlanta, La. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 13, at 10:30 a.m. in the Atlanta Methodist Church with Rev. Ray Teal of the Atlanta Baptist Church, Rev. Ben Billings of Lake Charles, and Rev. Max Allen Billings of Iowa, La., officiating. Burial was in the Atlanta Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Pallbearers were Cloy Shelton, David Shelton, John T. Porter, Douglas Weatherford, of Winnfield Douglas Sherwood of Alexandria, Gerald Carrier of Alexanderia, David Billings of Glenmora, and James L. Billings of Kilgore, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Lady A. Billings, one daughter, Mrs. Joy Quast of Orange, Texas; two sons, Earl Bilings of Houston and Donald R. Billings of Orange, Texas; five granddaughters, five grandsons, three sisters, Miss Evelyn Billings of Winnfield, Mrs. Roy Miller of New Iberia, La., and Mrs. C. E. Sherwood, Winnfield; four brothers, Clem of Baytown, Texas, Carl of Kilgore, Texas, Claudie of Trout, La., and Ivy of Glenmora, La.
