J. L. Bishop Dies; Burial At Jerusalem

Funeral services for Jessie Lee Bishop, 78, of Winnfield, were held at 4 p.m.
Thursday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel here with the Rev. James R.
Gorham and the Rev. W. F. Harrell officiating.

Burial was in the New Jerusalem Cemetery near here.

Mr. Bishop died Wednesday, April 10, 1974 in a local hospital after a short
illness.

A native of Arkansas, Mrs. Bishop was a retired street employee for the City
of Winnfield and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Johnny Bishop of Orange, Texas and Lee Dale Bishop
of Middletown, Pa.; one daughter, Mrs. Aliene Imhoff of Beaumont, Tex.; one
brother, F. M. Bishop of Winnfield; one sister, Mrs. Effie Dickerson of
Winnfield; five grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.
