Mother Of Mrs. Dale Chandler Succumbs Here

Mrs. Mary Bishop, 77, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dale Chandler, in
Winnfield, Sunday, March 5.  She had made her home here for a number of years.

Rev. E. P. Bringol, pastor of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church, conducted the
services at Hixson Funeral Home Monday morning, after which the remains were
conveyed to Ashdown, Ark., where last rites were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday
at the Central Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Bishop is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Dale Chandler, Winnfield,
Mrs. L. D. Dorton and Mrs. D. L. Smith, both of Galveston; four sons, Albert
Bishop, Natchitoches, Archie Bishop, Hitchcock, Tex., Floyd And Da__Bishop,
Ashdown, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. W. H. Oglesby, Georgetown; 16 grandchilkdren,
11 great grandchildren.
