M. Bishop Is Buried Sunday At New Jerusalem Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Bell Bishop, 60, who died at 4:45 p.m. Friday in a local hospital after a short illness, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in New Jerusalem Baptist Church. The Rev. E. W. Evans, the Rev. W. F. Harrell, and the Rev. Edgar Gunter officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Hixon Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Bishop was a lifelong resident of Winn Parish and was a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, F. M. "Mack" Bishop of Winnfield; two sons, Arthur Lee Bishop of Venice and Clifford Bishop of Ball; two daughters, Mrs. Laverne Aitken of Shreveport and Mrs. Nelwyn Jeter of Dodson; and three brothers, Dan Spencer of Winnfield, Albert Spencer of Lameade, Calif., and Davis Silman of Beaumont, Tex.; and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy LaComb of Baton Rouge; and nine grandchildren.
