Former Winnfield Resident Dies in Shreveport July 20

Mrs. Annie Poole Black, 79, died in a Shreveport hospital Tuesday at 3:45 p.m.
following a brief illness.

Funeral services were held today at 10:00 a.m. at the Bienville Baptist Church
followed by burial in the Liberty Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Black is a former resident of Winnfield.  She and her husband, who was
engaged in the transfer business here, were making their home in Winnfield at
the time of Mr. Black's death.

Mrs. Black is survived by two daughters, Mrs. D. Q. Lucky, Shreveport, Mrs.
Charles Rudolph, Montgomery, Ala.; two sons, Roy J. Black, Ruston, and J. H.
Black, Baton Rouge; three sisters, Mrs. H. J. Rogers, Winnfield, and Mrs. W.
P. Lucky and Mrs. W. F. Collie, both of Shreveport; two brothers, W. W. Poole,
Bienville, and Q. F. Poole, San Francisco, Calif.; seven grandchildren, 11
great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
