Blake, Calvin, Succumbs To Long Illness Funeral Services Were Held at Bethlehem Monday Mrs. D. E. Blake, 55, succumbed at her home in Calvin Saturday, March 12, after a long protracted illness. Funeral services were conducted at the Bethlehem Church Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor Winnfield Presbyterian Church and Rev. F. M. Shows, pastor Calvin Baptist Church, in charge. Mrs. Blake was known for her sweet disposition and as a kind neighbor and a friend to the whole community. A native of Ringgold, La., she married Mr. D. E. Blake of Calvin in 1906. She had been a consecrated member of the Baptist Church since 1908. Surviving are her husband, D. E. Blake of Calvin, two stepchildren, Mrs. Charles Carter, Calvin, and I. C. Blake, Jonesboro, three step grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Joe Bechham of Ringgold and one sister, Mrs. Mittie Hinton of Epps.
