D. Black, 60, the former Marie Weeks of Ward 10, Winn Parish, died Wednesday in a Natchitoches hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held in the Emanuel Baptist Church, Natchitoches at 1:30 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Billy McCormick and the Rev. Fred Flurry officiating. Burial will follow in the Yankee Springs Cemetery, Ward 10, Winn Parish. Survivors are her husband of Natchitoches; four daughters, Mrs. Sybil Bonanno of Powhatan, Mrs. Violet Jensen of Dallas, Tex., Mrs. Jimmy Kelly of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Betty Key of Shreveport; two sons, Dewey Black of North Carolina, and William Black of Natchitoches; two sisters, Mrs. O. J. Dean of Goldonna and Mrs. Dorothy Colvin of Minden; eight brothers, Raymond Weeks of Baton Rouge, Roy Weeks of Alexandria, Dennis Weeks, Delton Weeks, Belton Weeks, and Soto Weeks of Goldonna, Sadie Weeks of Calvin, and Sidney Weeks of Midland, Tex.; 11 grandchildren and three stepchildren.
