Mrs. L. A. Brown Succumbs to Illness

Funeral services for Mrs. Lou Alice Brown, who died Thursday, January 16, at
the home of her son, J. H. Hicks at Rochelle, were held at the Union Church
Friday afternoon with Dr. B. C. Land, pastor of the Winnfield Church in
charge.

She is survived by her son, J. H. Hicks, two daughters, Mrs. Ola Martin of
Clarks and Mrs. J. H. Lane of El Dorado, Ark.  She was the grandmother of Miss
Marie Parrish and Miss Willie Parrish, teachers in the Winnfield and Sikes
schools.
