All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: September 3, 1936 Winn Parish Enterprise Bailey Boyett Dies Suddenly At His Home Funeral Services Were Conducted Thursday Afternoon Bailey Brian Boyett, 39 years of age, died suddenly at his home here Wednesday afternoon from a heart attack. He had been in ill health for a number of years. Funeral services were conducted at the First Baptist Church, Winnfield, Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. B. C. Land, pastor in charge. Rev. Alwin Stokes and Rev. K. W. Dodson assisted in the services. Burial was made in the Zion Hill Cemetery. The deceased is a native of Winn Parish and was a painter by trade. He was born at Sills, La., the son of J. M. and Laura Boyett, both deceased, and resided the greater part of his life in Winnfield. On April 19, 1919 he was married to Miss Gladys Noah at Tannehill. He was a member of the Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his widow and two sons, Donald and Billy Gene, of Winnfield; three sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Docia Leonard, Monroe; Miss May Boyett, Winnfield, Mrs. G. H. Hughes, W. D. Boyett, and Harvey Boyett, Taylor, Ark.; Ben Boyett of Winnfield, and Francis R. Boyett of Seattle, Washington. He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
