V. A. Boggs, Formerly of Winn, Dies

Vernon Alexander Boggs, 68, of Heflin, died Tuesday, November 13, 1973 in a
Shreveport hospital after a lengthy illness.

The Boggs family were former residents of Winnfield.

Funeral rites were held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Rockett Funeral Home chapel
with the Rev. Eddy Taylor officiating, assisted by the Rev. Paul Cassells. 
Burial was in Providence Cemetery with full Masonic rites.

Survivors include his wife; one brother, Jonathan E. Boggs of Amarillo, Tex.;
one sister, Mrs. Winifred Boggs Sparks of Tulsa, Okla.; and five
grandchildren.
