Boher Charles H. "Dad" Boher, 100 years of age, oldest resident of Winn Parish, died Monday, April 10, at the home of Luther Melton near Winnfield as the result of a long heart ailment. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 11, at 2 p.m. at the Winnfield Cemetery with the Rev. Alwin Stokes officiating. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. Boher, a resident of Winnfield for 35 years, was the youngest member of his family, and he had no survivors. For about 25 years he owned and operated a shoe repair shop in Winnfield. He retired from business 10 years ago. He had been in ill health for the past several weeks and recently underwent a minor operation. Pallbearers were H. A. Porter, E. H. Melton, Luther Melton, D. L. Hoffman, W. E. Traylor, and Max Thieme.
