Father of Local Resident Dies April 23

John Nathaniel Bolton, 80, of Natchitoches, died Tuesday, April 23, 1974 in
the Veterans Hospital in Pineville. He was a retired farmer and logger and a
veteran of World War I.

He is survived by three sons, Rev. Denzil R. Bolton of Liberia, West Africa,
Elton W. Bolton and John E. Bolton of Provencal; two daughters, Mrs. Etty
Marie Simmons of Noble and Mrs. Ina Mae McDonald of Winnfield; one sister,
Mrs. Ethel Boswell of Mansfield, and 11 grandchildren.


Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Provencal United Pentecostal
Church with Rev. Bobby Stanley, Rev. Doyle Aaron, and Rev. V. R. Blizzard
officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery.
