James T. Bolton, 67, Dies April 22, After Long Illness

James T. Bolton, 67, a resident of the Joyce community, died Sunday, April 22,
at his home following a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the East Winnfield Baptist
Church with the pastor, Rev. Kenneth Wall, the Rev. Harrison Cockerham, and
the Rev. Lester Stotts, officiating.  The Masonic rites were held at the
graveside.  Burial was under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. Bolton was a native of Montgomery and had lived in Winn Parish for the
past 30 years.  He was a salesman and was a member of the East Winnfield
Baptist Church and of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his widow; a son, James H. Bolton of Winnfield; a foster
son, Donald Ray Rice Bolton of Winnfield; a brother, C. H. Bolton of Joyce;
and one grandchild.
