Last Rites For E. L. Bonnette Held March 10

Edward Leroy Bonnette, 74, of Goldonna, died March 8 in a Winnfield hospital
after a brief illness.  He was a retired farmer.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Goldonna Baptist Church
with the Rev. Edgar Gunter officiating.  Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery
under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Survivors include his widow; three sons, Lloyd Bonnette of Goldonna; F. J.
Bonnette of Tecumseh, Mich., and Marshall Bonnette of Denver, Colo.  two
stepsons, Martin Lowery and Lanier Lowery, both of Gonzales; three daughters,
Mrs. Ruth Moore of Shreveport, Mrs. Opal Smith of Ceres, Calif., and Mrs.
Glennie Mae Harper of Carlin, Nev.; a brother, H. D. Bonnette of
Shreveport; a sister, Mrs. Lillie B. Mixon of Shreveport; 22 grandchildren
and 14 great grandchildren.
