He died April 2 in a Winnfield Hospital after an illness of four years. Surviving are his wife of Calvin; two sons, Doyle and Bill James Bonnette, both of Calvin; four daughters, Mrs. Eunice Cure, New Orleans; Mrs. Marie Tarver, Grayson; Mrs. Maggie McKaskle, Winnfield; and Mrs. Vertie White, Key West, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Lela Bundrick, Calvin; Mrs. Bessie Barnes, Minden; a half-brother, Sam Bonnette, Springhill; and a half-sister, Mrs. Flossie Hicks, Rt. 3, Natchitoches in Winn Parish. Mr. Bonnette was born in Jackson Parish, but lived his entire lifetime in Ward 8, Winn Parish. funeral services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Sanders Chapel Methodist Church of which he was a member. The Rev. Clarence Bates and the Rev. E. D. Smith conducted the services and burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield. Serving as pallbearers were Buck Bonnette, Rayford Bundrick, Roy Mixon, Larry Carpenter, Albert Little, and Frank Clark.
