Bonnette, 59, of Goldonna, died Saturday, August 17, 1974 in a local hospital in Winnfield following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the Goldonna Assembly of God Church with the Rev. A. S. Davis officiating, assisted by the Rev. Cecil Tomlin. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Goldonna under the direction of the Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Survivors include his widow, a son, Marshall Edward Bonnette of Cheautou, Okla.,; five daughters, Mrs. Elaine Meek, Mrs Eunice Jones, and Mrs. Marlene Taylor, all of Shreveport, Mrs. Edna Gates and Mrs. Oleta Gates, both of Goldonna; a brother, Marshall H. Bonnette of Denver, Colol; three sisters, Mrs. Leo Moore of Goldonna, Mrs. Glennie Mae Harper of Modesta, Calif., and Mrs. Opal Smith of Ceres, Calif.; his stepmother, Mrs. Lettie B. Riggs, and 12 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jimmy Griffin, Leslie Griffin, Jim Martin, Ray Daughtry, Elgin Adams, and Gordon McGee.
