Son of Local Resident Dies in Shreveport

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday for Raiford E. Bonnette, Jr.,
43, of Shreveport, at the Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield with Rev. Grafton
Shaw officiating.  Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield.

Mr. Bonnette died at 11 a.m. Monday, October 2, 1972 at his residence in
Shreveport after a lengthy illness.  He was a native of Atlanta, Louisiana, a
hardware salesman, and a Mason.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marie Bonnette of Shreveport; two sons,
Ronald Bonnette of Monroe and Terry Ray Bonnette of Shreveport; and one
granddaughter, Miss Amy Michelle Bonnette of Monroe; his mother, Mrs. Minnie
Lee Bonnette of Winnfield; one brother, David Bonnette of Brevard, N. C.; and
five sisters, Mrs. Doris Spires of Montgomery, Mrs. Eleanor McKenzie of Homer,
Mrs. Hazel Neal, Mrs. Marjorie Whittington, and Mrs. Evelyn Ellis, all of
Shreveport.
