Lionel A. Boone

Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 20, 1982 at Rose-Neath
Funeral Home's Marshall Street Chapel, for Mr. Lionel A. Boone, Sr. 78, of
Winnfield, officiated by the Rev. Jimmy Eppinette, pastor of Northwood Baptist
Church.  Interment was in Winnfield Cemetery with arrangements under the
direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home.  Mr. Boone died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday,
September 18, 1982 at Schumpert Medical Center, following a long illness. 
A graveside service was held at 4 p.m. Monday.

A native of Lufkin, Texas, Mr. Boone was a retired bookkeeper.  He was a
member ofthe Louisiana Peace Officers Association and the Christian Scientist
Church.

Survivors include two sons, Lionel A. Boone, Jr., and Kerry S. Boone, both of
Shreveport; a daughter, Mrs. Dana Barnes, Shreveport; four sisters, Miss Inez
Boone, Mrs. Zelma Houston, and Mrs. Elizabeth Dauman, all of Shreveport,
and Mrs. Ernestine Delvalle, New Orleans; five grandchildren and three great
grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Cliff Barnes, David Boone, Jerry Boone, George Dauman, Ricky
Dauman, and R. W. Gentry.
