Boone Succumbs After Long Illness Funeral Services Held At Christian Church With Interment In The Winnfield Cemetery W. A. Boone, 64 years of age, died at his home here Wednesday morning at 3:30 after an illness of more than a year with Bright's disease. Funeral services were held at the First Christian Church of which the deceased was a member and an elder, Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, with Rev. C. L. Jones, of Shreveport, in charge. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mr. Boone was born and reared in Simms, Texas. He came to Winnfield about twenty years ago as an employee of the L. R. & N. Railway Company, and remained with that company until it was taken over by the L. & A. Railway, whom he worked for about two years, when his health became bad. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Lufkin, Texas. Surviving the deceased is the widow; three sons, W. L. Boone, of Rochelle; L. A. Boone of Jackson, Miss.; Cleotis Boone, Winnfield; four daughters, Mrs. R. B. Roscoe of Shreveport; and Misses Inez, Ernestine, and Elizabeth, of Winnfield and three grandsons, Norman Jean Roscoe, Arville, and Carey Stroud Boone.
