Mother of Local Resident Dies Thursday In Hodge

Mrs. Doyle Borland, 63, of Hodge, died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 1971 at
Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston after a brief illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Fellowship Baptist Church
near Hodge with the Revs. Edward Smith and Reuben Hammonds officiating. 
Burial was in the church cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Doyle Borland of Hodge; five sons, Ira G.
Johnson of Granger, Wash., Bobby Ray Johnson of Hodge, Billy Borland of
Sunnyside, Wash., Bobby Borland of Hodge, and Donnis Borland of Zillah, Wash.;
four daughters, Mrs. Dorene Poole of West Monroe, Mrs. Betty Williams of
Hodge, Mrs. Ella Ray Northcutt of Winnfield, Mrs. Susie Rowe of Jonesboro; two
brothers, Heron Walker of Hodge and Wilson of Topeka, Kan., and 31
grandchildren.
